Why Training?

Training and presentations are an engaging and effective way to develop staff capabilities, allowing them to deliver when it matters most. Training can be provided to an entire organisation through initiatives such as lunch-and-learns, or targeted to specific teams within organisations, who would benefit from enhancing their ‘soft skills’.

Why Veretis?

All of Veretis’ training modules and presentations are based on proven psychological science and delivered with our renowned ‘real world’ applicable approach. Our programs prioritise participant involvement and discussion to enhance engagement and learning. Worksheets and summary sheets accompany the presentations to ensure the information is consolidated as well as serving as a reminder after the session.

How do we Train?

We carefully consider delivery methods to maximise learning, accessibility and affordability. Veretis utilises in-person and video-conferencing methods to deliver our training/presentations. In-person enables greater participant involvement and discussion; however, video-conference enables training delivery to employees in multiple locations at once. Video-conferencing also allows recording of the training to have on file, providing ongoing return on investment and impact. Our team will work with you during your initial enquiry to establish which delivery method best suits your desired outcomes, ideal reach, and available funding.

Psychological
Fitness

This presentation helps people understand how the relationship between well-being and performance works and recognise the first signs that they are exiting a state of thriving. It supports your team to develop a balanced lifestyle that helps keep them thriving so they are performing consistently and are resilient to the pressures that work and other meaningful pursuits can bring.

Burnout

Burnout is an occupational phenomenon which can lead people to experience emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation, and reduced personal accomplishment. With an alarming number of workers across the world reporting increasing levels of burnout, it is more important than ever to recognise the early warning signs and risk factors and learn how to implement anti-burnout strategies.

Accidental Counselling

Staff who aren’t officially in counselling or client support roles can be exposed to a variety of confronting and challenging situations. It is important that staff feel equipped to manage these situations when they do occur, and what their obligations are.
The training will cover the below topics to help assist with :

  • Micro-counselling skills
  • Self-care

Balancing
Performance & Mental
Well-being

It is vital that we are balancing our performance and well-being so we can consistently perform and maintain ongoing well-being. This presentation helps people understand how this relationship works and recognise the first signs that they are exiting a state of thriving. It supports your team to develop a balanced lifestyle that helps keep them thriving so they are performing consistently and are resilient to the pressures that work and other meaningful pursuits can bring.

Effective Stress
Management

Chronic stress is a growing issue for society, particularly within the workforce. This workshop helps people understand what stress is, its causes and how to use stress to their advantage. Through this better understanding, your team members will have a greater capacity to respond to the stressors they face personally and at work.

Mental Health 101

This introduction unpacks mental health and debunks some of the myths surrounding it. This allows people to better understand it and help to de-stigmatise it in your workplace. This training highlights to participants that we are always in a ‘state of mental health’ and that good mental health can be just as impactful on our lives as poor mental health.

Well-being

Managers and leaders within any organisation maintain a corporate citizen duty in supporting staff well-being. As mental health challenges impact performance, it is also essential for your managers and leaders to understand how they can support their people’s mental health and help them address any issues when they arise.

Often managers are hesitant to discuss mental health with their team members because they either don’t feel equipped (competent) to support them and are worried they could make things worse or are not confident in doing so. Veretis is highly experienced in equipping your leaders with competence and confidence to approach team members they suspect may be struggling and provide them meaningful support to work through their challenges.

Additionally, Veretis can help design and implement a safe workplace that is inclusive to all.
